Glitter Arty was invited to deliver children's airbrush face painting across two LEGO Store anniversary weekends at Bristol Cribbs and Westfield London — two locations known for strong footfall and energetic retail environments.
Store anniversaries at LEGO are not quiet occasions. Families queue in advance to enjoy exclusive birthday giveaways, and the atmosphere builds long before doors open. By the time the stores welcomed guests inside, excitement was already high.
Our role was to transform that anticipation into colour, movement and creative participation once the celebrations began.
Across both weekends, the stores were vibrant, busy and alive with commercial energy. Children's airbrush face painting became part of the celebration — not an add-on, but an immersive element woven into the store experience.

A Creative Brief Rooted in Bold Colour
The creative direction centred around LEGO's unmistakable visual language: bold punchy primary colours, graphic structure and playful energy.
We were briefed to create LEGO-inspired designs using bold colour blocking and dynamic airbrushed motifs, being mindful to avoid replicating specific LEGO characters or protected intellectual property. This allowed us to interpret the brand's aesthetic creatively while remaining respectful of guidelines.

Across each weekend, we transformed approximately 480 guests with vibrant airbrush face painting, maintaining steady engagement throughout trading hours.

Our streamlined design menu was carefully structured to balance efficiency with visual impact. Each look was designed to be completed in approximately two to four minutes, allowing us to maintain strong flow without compromising colour intensity or creative quality.
Children aged three and above were captivated by the bold, graphic masks and vibrant motifs. Older siblings gravitated toward sharper airbrush patterns and defined linework. Even die-hard adult LEGO fans joined in, drawn to the playful yet contemporary feel of the designs.
As painted guests moved through the store, the atmosphere became increasingly animated. Faces lit up in bright, eye-catching colours, echoing the shelves around them. The store floor felt alive with creativity.

Our team wore our signature black base uniform with iridescent sequin jackets — polished, cohesive and reflective of the sparkle we create. The look struck a balance between smart presentation and vibrant energy, sitting comfortably within a premium retail setting.
