There is something quietly powerful about giving people the chance to create something with their hands. At Glitter Arty, we combine flower crown workshops with face painting to create immersive, scalable experiences for corporate events, brand activations and seasonal celebrations across the UK.
The pairing works because it introduces variation within an event environment. Face painting delivers a fast, creative and personalised visual impact. Flower crown workshops invite guests to engage more slowly and creatively. Together, they add both movement and focus to a space.

When a Workshop Becomes the Heart of an Event
At Culture Mile’s Mid-Summer Fayre in Postman’s Park, London, delivered in partnership with Kit & Caboodle, our flower crown workshop quickly established itself as a central feature of the afternoon. The event celebrated the Elizabethan heritage and Shakespearean connections of the park, drawing a broad public audience.
Within that celebratory setting, the workshop offered something participatory and tactile. A sequin-draped table layered with dried florals became a natural gathering point. Guests of all ages took part — children, parents, friends, older visitors. Some joined briefly, others stayed longer, refining their colour choices and adjusting their designs.
What stood out was the atmosphere. Spontaneous and easy-going, yet quietly structured. No sense of spectacle — simply steady, sociable making, with conversation flowing naturally across the table.
Across four hours, around 80 floral crowns were created in relaxed drop-in sessions, with two artists providing guidance and structure throughout. The pace remained steady while each participant retained creative ownership of their design. As the event continued, the flower crowns appeared throughout the park, worn effectively from time of completion and photographed against the backdrop of the festivities. The workshop’s presence extended beyond the table itself.
A Corporate Summer Celebration at Scale
At Gearset’s international summer party, held at Childerley Hall in Cambridge, flower crown workshops and face painting adapted naturally to a larger corporate setting. With approximately 450 guests in attendance, including employees and their families, two face paint artists and two flower crown artists worked simultaneously throughout the afternoon.
The outdoor setting lent itself naturally to a festival-style atmosphere. Parents and children often created crowns side by side. Once completed, crowns were worn through the remainder of the celebrations, subtly shaping the visual tone of the event.

Across the afternoon, approximately 90–100 crowns were created. The workshop operated within a 5m² footprint, seating 10–15 guests at a time. Sessions ranged from 15 to 25 minutes, depending on the level of detail each participant chose. The result was more than an activity station; it became a shared experience that carried through the wider celebration.
Across both public and corporate settings, flower crown workshops for corporate events, paired with face painting, consistently create the same response. Guests feel engaged and creative, and the atmosphere often carries well beyond the workshop itself.

For many guests, the workshop offers something less expected: a genuine moment of calm within a busy event day. Working quietly with florals and making considered choices, many guests find themselves absorbed in the process. Without trying to be, it becomes a naturally meditative experience.
Adult-Only & Themed Installations
For G-Research’s Halloween staff celebration, the concept shifted again. Autumnal dried florals in deep reds, muted golds and burnt orange were curated to complement Day of the Dead-inspired adult face art. Two flower crown artists and two face paint artists delivered the experience across three hours for approximately 200 guests.

Around 70 crowns were created, many paired with detailed sugar skull designs or restrained glittery eye accents. Participants were free to interpret the theme in their own way, resulting in looks that ranged from bold to understated.
The workshop table maintained a steady rhythm throughout the evening. Guests engaged at different points, some moving between stations, others remaining longer to refine their design. The flexibility of the format allowed it to respond to the tone of the event while maintaining consistency in delivery.

Structure & Scalability
Our flower crown workshops are designed to adapt across environments. The format is straightforward to deploy and unobtrusive within a wider event layout, with no power supply required and no complex setup.
With two artists working together:
10–15 guests can be seated at one time
Approximately 25 crowns per hour can be achieved in higher-throughput formats
Sessions can range from 15 to 45 minutes depending on the client’s preference
All materials are natural, dried, long-lasting and sustainably sourced, creating minimal waste and nothing left behind at the end of the event
We prepare only a simple wire base in advance, allowing guests creative ownership over the final design. Floral crowns can be adorned upon completion and taken home as a lasting memento.
When combined with face painting, the installation gains dimension. One element offers rapid, expressive styling. The other provides a more measured, hands-on experience. Together, they create balance within an event programme.
Flower Crown Workshops & Face Painting - Why the Combination Works
Across public festivals, corporate celebrations and adult-only themed events, the response is consistent. Guests value the opportunity to create something tangible. Flower crown workshops and face painting encourage focus and conversation in equal measure, with the finished crowns adding visible festival excitement to the event environment, while face painting introduces colour, sparkle and individuality.
For agencies and corporate planners, the pairing offers:
Multi-generational appeal
Flexible throughput
A strong visual presence
Adaptability to seasonal or brand themes
A format that supports both engagement and flow
A quietly mindful quality — the flower crown-making process offers guests time to focus and calm, a welcome counterpoint to the energy of a busy event
Flower crown workshops and face painting, when thoughtfully delivered, become more than entertainment. They contribute to the overall character of an event and often deliver more than guests expect. Some participants become quietly absorbed, focused entirely on the process of threading florals and shaping colour. The crowns they take home become a reminder of that moment, as much as a memento of the event itself.
